Data Security Statement
Prudential regularly faces cybersecurity threats and attempted attacks, both general and targeted, against our operating environment. Protecting the data entrusted to us, especially personal data, and protecting our operating environment remain top areas of focus for Prudential. A highly skilled staff of analysts and forensic experts within Prudential’s 24x7 Cyber Security Operations Center leverage advanced technologies to monitor and address numerous raw events per week, of which, dozens require attention. The Cyber Security Center distills these events to discrete matters requiring greater attention. Prudential’s global information security and privacy programs establish minimum controls and standards around the collection, use, storage and security of personal data, and those programs are staffed by privacy and security professionals and attorneys. We continually evaluate and evolve this mix of technologies, process, controls, and threat intelligence to prevent and detect cyber attacks. The Company has entered into an information security risk insurance policy.
As it is not possible to accurately predict or prevent all possible cyber attacks or exploits, we are committed to maintaining our robust, practiced, and cross functional incident response framework in addition to continually evolving detective and preventative measures. These controls continue to adapt to the changing threat profile and the changing operating environment, such as cloud and other external service opportunities. Prudential’s end to end resource commitment towards information security, privacy, and cybersecurity has increased roughly 20 percent over the last 36 months. We will continue to commit appropriate incremental resources as threats and control opportunities warrant.
