Q.

When I logon, why do I receive the message “There are no documents to display”?

 

A.

You will receive this message if you do not yet have your license or if you are not entitled a homepage. All agents and managers who are licensed to sell insurance and investment products through Prudential are entitled to personalized homepages. Operations staff and sales and marketing assistants are not entitled to receive homepages.

Q.

What is my URL?

A.

Your URL can be found in the “Update/Edit Personal Information” section. If you need to change your url, please email us at FTS_Help@prudential.com.

Q.

How can I change my address information?

A.

Your address information comes from the Agent Database system and cannot be edited through the browser application. Please see your OCM if your address is incorrect or needs additional updating. The changes may take up to a week to take effect on your homepage.

If you have multiple private office locations and wish to have both locations displayed on your homepage, please  call (888) 743- 7111 (Option 3) or email us at FTS_Help@prudential.com.

Q.

How do I update my phone number?

A.

Your phone number is also pulled from the Agent Database and may not be edited online. Please see your OCM if your phone number is incorrect. You may enter an alternate phone number in the Update / Edit Personal Information section of the application.

Q.

How do I update my licensing information?

A.

Your License information is fed from the Licensing and Registration database and may not be edited online. Please see your OCM if your licensing information is not correct on your homepage.

Please note: Securities and Variable licenses are not displayed online for agents that are located in the NASD registered offices. Only parent offices are registered with the NASD. Therefore agents located in private or detached offices will not have their securities and variable licenses displayed on their homepage.

Q.

How do I change my designations?

A.

Your designations are fed by the Agent Database and may not be edited online. If your designations are incorrect, please see your Operations and Control Manager.

Q.

How do I become eligible for the producer homepage?

A.

All sales representatives of Prudential Insurance are entitled to producer homepages. However, there is a waiting period of 14 weeks for new representatives. Your manager, however may force the eligibility of your homepage prior to the cessation of the 14 week waiting period.

Q.

How often are the mainframe updates made to the homepage?

A.

Address information is fed weekly to the application on Thursdays. Licensing information is fed nightly to the application. If any address or licensing information is incorrect, please see your Operations and Control Manager.

Q.

I am a Staff U or Y agent, how do I change my office location on my homepage?

A.

If you are a Staff U or Y agent please contact us at (888) 743- 7111 (Option 3) to have your homepage location changed if it is currently incorrect. Only SuperAdmins can set the location code for Staff U and Y agents.

I have more than one private office. How do I list the other location?

A.

If you have more than one private office, please call us at (888) 743- 7111 (Option 3) to have your other location displayed on your website and listed in the Prudential.com “Find an Agent” search.

Where on my business card can I list my URL ?

A.

You may list your URL in the address section of your business card or under directly under your name or title:

Q.

How do I sign my emails with my homepage URL?

A.

To insert your signature with your homepage url to your Lotus Notes emails, click on Tools then Preferences. Click on the Signature Tab. Check the box “Automatically append a signature to the bottom of my outgoing mail messages”. Enter you message and URL in the text box below. See example :

Q.

I am a DBA. Can I use my own branding and DBA name on my homepage?

A.

Currently, you cannot use your own DBA branding on your Prudential.com site. However, in 2006, eDG will launch a DBA site where you will be able to upload your logo, select your template design and colors, and add your own personalized DBA content.

Editing Content

Q.

I have my own content for the welcome message. How can I add this to my homepage?

A.

Only superadmin users can upload and entitle agent specific content for you to use online. Once you have received approval for your content from your manager and marketing review, email us your personal message to FTS_Help@prudential.com. Be sure to include your branch code and contract code. 

Please indicate if this content is entitled for yourself only or if it should be made available to your branch office as well.

Q.

How do I add links to my site?  

A.

You may add links to your site by selecting the  “Add personal links option” in the “Edit / Select Homepage Links” section. To do this, simply check the box next to “Add Personal Links” and type the name of the link in the Text box and enter the URL(s) of the desired site(s) in the right hand input boxes. Make sure that you save your changes before moving on to another section.

You may link to any Prudential.com page. Here are some of the more commonly used links to popular videos, PDF's, and content pages:

    Q.

    I speak a different language. How can I add this to my homepage?

    A.

    You may add up to five additional languages on your homepage. Simply navigate to the “Add Additional Spoken Languages” in the “Edit My Homepage section. Please email us at FTS_Help@prudential.com if you speak another language that is not listed.

    Q.

    How do I resize my photo?  

    A.

    To resize your photo, you would need to use an image editor tool like Adobe Photoshop. Using Adobe, set the image size in the constrained Aspect Ratio box. Use the Rectangular Marquee tool to center your image in the photo and crop out the rest of the image. Select Image, and resize to 110 X 130. Make sure that you save your image file as a jpg or gif format.

    Why am I not listed on Prudential.com?  

    A.

    All Agents who are eligible to receive the homepage are listed on Prudential.com. If you cannot find your name in the agent search, please contact us immediately at (888) 743- 7111 (Option 3) or email us at FTS_Help@prudential.com.

    My Map and Driving Directions are incorrect. How do I fix this?

    A.

    EDG utilizes Microsoft’s Mappoint to build Office Maps and Driving Directions. Please call us at (888) 743- 7111 (Option 3) or email us at FTS_Help@prudential.com. If your Map and driving directions are incorrect.  

    We will then contact our liaison at Mappoint to address the problem.

    To view how many unique visitors your web page has received, please see the Metrics Tab of the utility.  This module provides both month to date and year to date traffic to your homepage.
