Shareholder Services

Welcome Prudential Financial Shareholder! Keeping our registered shareholders engaged and informed is very important to us. This section contains essential information for the management of your shares in Prudential Financial.

Settling the affairs of a family member or loved one who has passed away can seem overwhelming at times. We want to make the process of transferring the shares to a new owner as easy as possible during this difficult time.

How to Transfer Shares

If the shareholder currently registered on the account is deceased, it is important to transfer the shares to a new owner. Although most registered shareholders received their shares in Prudential's demutualization, as a result of their Prudential policy ownership, the shares are completely separate from the policy and must be transferred through Computershare, even if you have already claimed the policy benefits.

The forms you will need to transfer the Prudential shares to a new owner are available for printing here. If you prefer to have paper forms mailed to you, please call Computershare at 800-305-9404 and select menu option 4.

The forms will include a set of detailed instructions, as well as the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions, to guide you through the process.

Online Option: If you know the shareholder's full 11-character Computershare account number (i.e. C0123456789) you may also complete the forms online at www.transfermystock.com or by visiting Computershare's website at www.computershare.com/investor and selecting the box on the right labeled "Share Transfer Made Easy - Transfer Wizard". Once you complete the forms online, you will receive instructions for printing, signing, and returning the forms to Computershare for processing.

We can help. If you find you are struggling with the process of transferring the shares and would like someone to contact you, send us an email with the deceased shareholder's name, a contact name, and telephone number.
