Since 1993, many of our employees have been coming together in Business Resource Groups (BRGs). These groups, which are open to all employees, serve as networks for promoting individual professional development, while helping the company achieve its business objectives.
ADAPT is a network of Prudential Financial employees, some of whom have either a disability (hearing, vision, mobility, etc.) or a chronic medical condition. They support the personal and professional development of their members by encouraging the sharing of information and personal insights unique to individuals with disabilities. They also strive to educate others on disability awareness issues.
APAA is dedicated to supporting and promoting an appreciation of the diversity and similarity of Asians and Pacific Islanders among all Prudential employees. The group strives to promote awareness and understanding of the varied cultures and rich traditions of Asian/Pacific Islander Americans, and to advance the professional development of APAA members.
The BLF was launched in 2003 to enhance the professional development of Prudential's Black employees at all levels and support the company's diversity efforts (i.e., recruitment, retention, and multicultural marketing). The BLF achieves its goals through mentoring, awareness initiatives, and educational and marketing efforts as supported by the Prudential organization.
The EAGLES organization works to foster an environment that is inclusive and supportive of all employees, including gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender (GLBT), thus allowing them to perform to their fullest potential and in line with Prudential Financial's nondiscrimination policy. EAGLES seeks to raise awareness of gay issues in the workplace; promote and advance change that will help people respect and value differences; promote professional and personal development for all employees; and assist Prudential Financial in identifying GLBT marketing opportunities.
Formed in 1995, HHN seeks to articulate the Hispanic viewpoint, share common issues, and establish a support network that promotes professional development of employees to their fullest potential. In addition, HHN assists the company with community initiatives, including mentoring and financial consulting.
The Prudential Military Veterans Network, VETnet, was launched in 2010 as an opportunity to further the development of employees in Prudential, and to provide greater leverage to the company's diversity initiatives. The organization seeks to articulate the military veteran's viewpoint by providing a vehicle for communication and sharing common issues, and by establishing a support network to promote professional development of employees to their fullest potential.
