It's Never Too Early to Plan
You may be at a time in your life when you've reached a certain level of success and satisfaction. You may be busy with a well-established career, raising a family, or both. Your attention is probably focused on daily tasks and responsibilities.
Because your life is so busy and your responsibilities are so great, it may be difficult to imagine a time when you may not be completely self-sufficient. One myth about LTC is that younger people don't need it. But an unexpected illness or accident—even at a young age—can result in the need for LTC. That's why it is never too early to plan for LTC.
You would never intentionally want to become a burden to your family should you need LTC, nor would you want your family to have to compromise their quality of life and their health care choices should they need LTC. Planning for LTC in advance, along with family members, can help ease a difficult situation should you or a family member ever need it.
