Returning to Work After a Debilitating Injury
Responsive and supportive program facilitates positive results.
After master plumber David sustained a third shoulder injury, he no longer met the physical requirements needed to perform his job. While his injury was covered by workers’ compensation (WC), Prudential, as his long-term disability insurance provider, intervened and coordinated return-to-work efforts with David’s WC case manager. He began a job placement program after learning he possessed strong transferrable skills, and received training, counseling, and ultimately several job offers.
