Prudential offers three levels of service-Core, Concierge, and Full-to assist you with managing your group life insurance coverages. All of our record keeping services come with excellent customer support for you and your employees. Concierge is the option we recommend to clients. Your Prudential representative can provide details regarding each service level and any fees that may apply.
Your employees will be able to check coverage and claim status, change beneficiaries, print forms, and more by visiting our secure website, My PRU Benefits, any time. They can also call us toll-free and use our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system or speak with a representative during designated hours. Through our employer website, Link 2 PRU Benefits, you can get the information you need 24/7 via a single log on. You and your designated users will have immediate access to contracts, claim data, evidence of insurability data, billing, and a host of additional services. You will also receive a set of standard and customized reports to easily track your claims experience.
We offer the following standard features with each contract:
  • The Accelerated Benefit Option1 allows terminally ill employees to receive part of their insurance benefit while still living
  • The Conversion Provision permits employees to convert coverage to a Prudential individual insurance policy when their employment ends, without answering health questions.
  • The Waiver of Premium Option exempts qualifying, disabled employees from paying life insurance premiums on employee coverages.
  • The Portability Provision2 enables eligible employees to continue a certain level of their group coverage when their employment ends.

 

Accident Insurance

With our Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) and Business Travel Accident (BTA) insurance plans, you decide who's covered, how much is covered, and who pays for coverage.


Basic AD&D Insurance3
Can give employees accident protection either 24/7, or on a non-occupational basis. This coverage is generally offered as an employer-paid benefit to employees only.


Optional AD&D Insurance3
Can help provide employees with supplemental, 24/7 accident protection. This employee-paid coverage can cover employees only or your employees, their spouses or domestic partners* , and eligible children.


Business Travel Accident Insurance3
Provides benefits for accidental injuries or death that occur when employees travel on approved company business. This insurance is an efficient and economical way for you to transfer risk and liability when employees are required to travel on your behalf. You can provide supplemental coverage for accidents that happen to your employees during the commute to work. We also offer special risk coverage for pilots and crewmembers, emergency teams, terrorist acts, hijacking/piracy, war, and more. Our plans can be expanded to cover pleasure travel.


Choice of Plan Features
 

  • Seat Belt Benefit provides an extra payment if the insured dies when riding in a car while properly using a seat belt.
  • Air Bag Benefit applies if the insured dies when using a seat belt in a car equipped with air bags.
  • Other provisions are available to cover loss due to coma, exposure and disappearance, felonious assault, and employee/spouse joint death. Benefits are also available for spouse or child tuition reimbursement, day care expenses, and surviving spouses.
