PruChoice®—Mutual Fund Investment Program

PruChoice® is a comprehensive, non-discretionary mutual fund investment advisory program that combines the power of Prudential Financial's Strategic Investment Research Group's (SIRG) research with the advantage of professional guidance to assist you in getting more out of your wealth. The goal is simple—to help you build your wealth.

A team of experienced investment management analysts from SIRG screens the mutual fund universe to assist in the fund selection process.

PruChoice®
With PruChoice®, you'll be able to move assets between funds within the program, simplify recordkeeping, and get a complete view of your financial picture, related to the assets within the program.

A Disciplined Process
Investing in the PruChoice® program begins with an in-depth fact-finding questionnaire, which you complete. The questionnaire focuses on your financial goals, time horizon, investment preferences, and attitude towards risk tolerance. The resulting financial analysis will allow you to determine your financial objectives, appropriate investment risk, and mutual fund search criteria.

Upon completion of the financial analysis, your Prudential financial professional will help you develop a personalized asset allocation by selecting mutual funds that target your financial goals in accordance with your investment objectives and risk tolerance. Once in the program, you and your Prudential financial professional should continue to work together to modify the portfolio as your needs may change.

A More Precise Asset Allocation
The PruChoice® program’s fund selection is designed to make asset allocation easier and more effective. Nearly every major asset class and investment style is represented.

The program’s broad, yet highly selective, menu of investment managers and mutual funds enables you to precisely target your financial goals. This precision helps you obtain a more diversified and effective asset allocation strategy. Diversification can lead to more consistent returns, lower volatility, and a greater chance of achieving your financial objectives.

Mutual Funds are classified by the Program’s analysts according to actual holdings. Classifying mutual funds by actual holdings helps to reduce portfolio overlap and improve diversification, which allows you to choose mutual funds whose underlying investments are not substantially similar to those underlying investments in other mutual funds. The Program’s research analysts evaluate each mutual fund’s portfolio holdings and assign ratings for style and market-cap consistency.

For example, the Program offers a large selection of managers in each of these large-cap equity styles:
  • Large-Cap Core
  • Large-Cap Growth
  • Large-Cap Value
Rigorous Professional Research
SIRG’s research enables you to choose mutual funds with confidence. Their team of experienced investment management analysts uses analytical tools to evaluate and select PruChoice® funds. When evaluating and selecting funds, the team considers both quantitative and qualitative criteria, primarily based on the performance, risk, style, and consistency of the fund. The research analysts continually evaluate managers and funds to make sure they meet program standards.

Comprehensive Reporting—Quarterly Account Monitor
Every quarter, you will receive an Account Monitor. The Quarterly Account Monitor helps you and your Prudential financial professional review performance data in relation to your specific goals. It can help you fine-tune your investment strategy as your goals evolve and the markets change.

The Account Monitor can also help you:
  • Keep up with market developments
  • Measure progress toward your goals
  • Evaluate your asset allocation
  • Monitor performance of investments
  • Review activity in your account and monitor tax implications
Funds in the PruChoice® Program are sold by prospectus only.
